Opportunities
The CSFA Hesed Committee, chaired by dedicated member Susan Leimsider, offers monthly opportunities to volunteer in the neighborhood and larger community.

Among the organizations we have worked with are:

-
DOROT, an organization that alleviates social isolation and provides needed services to older adults.
-
The Bowery Mission, which has served homeless and hungry New Yorkers since 1879, and is recognized as one of the most effective organizations in the city helping those in need.
-
The Church of St. Francis Xavier, which every Sunday opens its doors to the needy and feeds them at its soup kitchen.
-
Volunteers for America, working to provide school supplies for children.

Check back here for upcoming volunteer opportunities and Hesed projects.
