Pray

Tefilla, prayer, is the cornerstone of our community.

Though we are a diverse group of people, each with his or her own private joys, concerns and struggles, we gather together as one to express our hopes and needs, our gratitude and our sorrows, with one voice. The act of joining others in prayer is one of the deepest sources of solace and meaning humanity has discovered.

At CSFA, we pray as the Jewish people has for millennia: In Hebrew, using a combination of familiar and new melodies. But whether or not one understands the language or is accustomed to our melodies, everyone who joins us will understand the love, the longing, the passion that animates our prayers — and all are welcome to raise their voices together with ours.
